Police: Militants attack 10 fuel tankers in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Armed militants in southwest Pakistan set fire to 10 oil tankers carrying fuel for NATO troops in Afghanistan Saturday morning, police said.
The militants opened fire at the parked tankers near the town of Dera Murad Jamali in Balochistan province, said police official Hidayat Ullah.
One person was injured in the attack, Ullah said.
More than half of the supplies for U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan travel through Pakistan.
Militants in Pakistan have frequently targeted supply trucks traveling from the southern port city of Karachi to Afghanistan.
In Balochistan province in October, dozens of oil tankers destined for Afghanistan caught on fire after being attacked by gunmen.
Attacks targeting supply trucks in Pakistan have forced U.S. and NATO officials to add supply routes through other countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. CNN
