Thousands of skiers across Russia will take part on Sunday in an all-Russian ski race entitled Russian Ski Run 2011.
The race has been held annually since 1982. It includes 2-km (1.2-mile), 5-km (3.1-mile), 10-km (6.2-mile) and other events.
The oldest skier will be 78-year-old Vera Orlova in the city of Cheboksary in the Volga Federal District. The woman has participated in the event since 2004. RIA Novosti
