Czech VV party may only support right-wing government

Prague - The Czech Public Affairs (VV) might support a new right-wing government on the basis of an agreement specifying the conditions of its support to a minority cabinet unless it agrees with the Civic Democrats (ODS) and TOP 09 on government participation, VV chairman Radek John said today.

He said such agreement would contain precise dates of fulfilment of specific points, for instance, the struggle against corruption.
John said he met TOP 09 chairman Karel Schwarzenberg. He said the talks showed that the parties have similar positions on some issues, but that they differ mainly on a health care reform and the anti-corruption struggle.
Unless the three parties reach agreement on these issues and also on environmental themes, for instance, the VV will allow the emergence of an ODS-TOP 09 minority government, VV negotiator Vit Barta said.
