Labor ministers press Tony Abbott to unveil more policies

SENIOR ministers tried today to steer the focus away from Kevin Rudd on to Tony Abbott, calling on the Opposition Leader to produce more policies.
Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner spearheaded the attack in question time, arguing Mr Abbott had no clear strategy on health, education, national security and the economy.
“This is simply not good enough,” he said. “We are within months of a national election. The Australian people are entitled to serious, detailed costed positions from the opposition so they can form a view about and make a decision about whether they want to take the risk of this erratic opposition leader running the Australian nation”.
Mr Tanner said the government had “heard an awful lot from the Leader of the Opposition about what they would undo, but very little about what they would do were they to be elected.
