More than 130 million rubles ($4.2 million) was stolen from armed security guards, whose bodies were discovered in western Moscow earlier this week, Moscow's chief investigator said on Monday.
"According to the latest information, unknown men stole 130 million rubles," Anatoly Bagmet said.
Police discovered on Sunday the bodies of three guards from an armored vehicle in western Moscow, not far from the Moscow City business center currently under construction.
Earlier, police estimated the theft at 100 million rubles ($3.2 million). A pistol with 16 bullets was also reportedly stolen from the guards.
Investigators said the killer was inside the vehicle when the guards were shot.
