A gunman who caused a horrifying bloodbath in northern England had issued a chilling warning just the day before: "There's going to be a rampage tomorrow!"
Taxi driver Derrick Bird (52) from Rowrah, a divorced dad of two, fired a shotgun and a rifle from his car as he drove through several towns in Cumbria. He killed 12 people and injured 25 more before turning the gun on himself.
Once the dust settled it emerged that Bird had revealed his intentions. After a row with rival taxi drivers in the port town of Whitehaven, he threatened: “There's going to be a rampage tomorrow.” His friend Peter Leder told Channel 4 News that his last words to him were: “See you Peter, but I won't see you again".
According to the 'Daily Mail', the row centred on colleagues skipping the queue for fares at the taxi rank and stealing money from his car.
