Coalmine accident in northwest China leaves 28 miners dead

Twenty-eight miners were killed in a coalmine accident Saturday in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, official news agency Xinhua reported on Sunday.
All of the 28 miners who were working in the shaft were killed when an underground cable caught fire late on Saturday at Xiaonangou coalmine at Sangshuping Township of Hancheng City, Xinhua said, referring to the provincial government.
