Two male transvestites have been arrested for cross-dressing after allegedly offering women dance classes and make-up advice, according to a report in UAE daily The National.
The East Asian men, a 38-year-old illegal resident and his 33-year-old friend, were arrested in separate raids at a Ras Al Khaimah hotel.
The newspaper reported that the men were discovered dressed in a provocative manner and had been giving women dance classes and tips on hair care, skin care and make-up.
If convicted, cross-dressers face a maximum one year in jail and a maximum fine of Dh10,000.
