JERUSALEM, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Israel's national carrier El Al announced a net profit of $14.8 million for the second quarter.
The company's overall revenue grew by 25 percent, totaling $498.5 million compared to $399.4 million in the second quarter of 2009, Ynetnews.com said.
Greater passenger traffic, a reduction of expenses and wise commercial planning are the reasons for El Al's profit, Eliezer Shkedy, the company's president and CEO said. UPI
