BUCHAREST, Romania, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Juan Ignacio Chela lost only one game Wednesday in advancing to the quarterfinals of the BCR Open tennis tournament in Romania.

Chela, seeded fourth, won 71 percent of the points while dispatching Simon Greul 6-1, 6-0 in 55 minutes. The only game Greul won was a 12-point effort that made the score 1-1. Chela won the next 11 games, never facing a break point and losing only nine points in seven service games.

Top-seeded Albert Montanes also won in straight sets but his 6-4, 6-4 second-round victory over Tobias Kamke was the closest result of Wednesday's schedule. Montanes didn't face a break point until the eighth game of the second set.

Also in the second round, eighth-seeded Jeremy Chardy beat Simone Vagnozzi and Bjorn Phau topped Adrian Ungur by identical 6-2, 6-4 scores.

Wednesday's schedule also had the tournament's final first-round match with Pablo Cuevas having no trouble in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Pere Riba.
