EXPO-2010 final declaration to include Russia’s economic development position

The EXPO-2010 final declaration will include Russia’s position on energy, IT and high-tech development, Nikolai Bugayev, deputy head of the All-Russian Exposition Center (VVC), said.
The 2010 World Expo is being held in Shanghai from May 1 to October 31, 2010, the VVC is Russia’s official operator at the exhibition.
“Russia is preparing its chapter of the EXPO-2010 final declaration,” Bugayev told RIA Novosti. The chapter will involve Russian ideas and proposals in different areas.
Russian proposals involve the development of information and communications, new technologies and energy, he said.
Over 200 countries, corporations and international organizations are taking part in the Expo. Over 48 million people have visited the event since its opening.
