A Bangladeshi mechanic has been accused of bringing his sister from his country and forcing her into prostitution at a brothel he ran in Al Hamriya in Dubai.
The 27-year-old mechanic identified as AC allegedly brought his 30-year-old sister by making her believe she would be employed as a housemaid, reported Gulf News.
She was picked up from Sharjah airport by her brother and SI, a 31-year-old Bangladeshi man.
She spent the first few days at AC’s flat. The woman was then taken to a market where he bought her some underwear and skirts.
The plot revealed itself when AC told his sister to sleep with men for money. When she refused to obey the orders her brother reportedly told her “Your [mother] hangs around with strange men so would you refuse”.
After the ordeal of sleeping with men, she escaped the clutches of her brother and his compatriots and reported the matter to the police. The men were arrested soon after with a female accomplice, also Bangladeshi, 25-year-old housemaid SI.
The court will reconvene on October 24 to assign lawyers to the suspects.
