LOS ANGELES, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Chad Billingsley gave up two hits in eight innings and had a two-run single Friday, pacing the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-2 win over San Francisco.
The only hits Billingsley (11-8) allowed came in the fourth, when the Giants scored two unearned runs to tie it.
A fielding error by shortstop Rafael Furcal and a single by Aubrey Huff started the inning and both runners moved up on a ground out by Jose Guillen. Buster Posey then delivered a two-out single.
Billingsley, however, had his own two-out, two-RBI single in the bottom half of the inning after Matt Kemp and Casey Blake had walked and advanced on Ronnie Belliard's sacrifice bunt.
The hit by Billingsley was given up by Barry Zito (8-11), who worked only four innings in losing his fifth straight start.
