Russia believes it is important to harmonize the positions of countries that have a significant impact on the global financial and economic system, Kremlin aide Arkady Dvorkovich said on Monday.
"We consider the credit and monetary policy of any one country to be a sovereign matter and would definitely not put up with any interference in our policy," he told a news conference hosted by RIA Novosti ahead of the G20 summit in Seoul.
However, based on previous agreements, he said President Dmitry Medvedev was likely to insist on such actions subject to prior consultations between the key global economic players.
"Such actions should not come as a surprise to the governments and central banks in other countries. Action to balance the situation on regional and global markets could be planned beforehand," he said.
On the issue of "currency wars," he said it required constant dialogue.
