Russia's foreign trade surplus up 37 pct in Jan-Sept 2010

Russia's foreign trade surplus increased by 37.2 percent year-on-year in the January-September 2010 period to $125.6 billion, the Federal Customs Service said on Monday.
"The foreign trade balance had a surplus of $125.6 billion, which is $34.1 billion higher than in January-September 2009," the service said in a statement.
The surplus with non-CIS countries reached $108.5 billion, a $34.3 billion increase, while with the CIS countries it stood at $17.1 billion.
Russia's exports in January-September 2010 rose by 37.1 percent to $283.1 billion and imports by 37 percent to $157.4 billion, the Customs Service said.
