Wikileaks founder threatens to sue Sweden

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The founder of the Wikileaks Web site says he plans to sue the Swedish government for legal errors that led to arrest for rape.

Julian Assange gave an interview to the Svenska Dagbladet accusing the government of "legal mistakes," The Local reported.

"I plan to sue, several different lawyers have advised me to sue," he said. "I am very disappointed at the Swedish authorities".

An Australian, Assange has been trying to find a refuge. He applied for a Swedish residency permit but was turned down in October.

Two women accused him of sexual assault and harassment in August. An arrest warrant was issued, another prosecutor dropped the charges and a third reinstated them.

Assange had acknowledged meeting the woman but denies any non-consensual sexual contact.
