FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Nearly 200 people were arrested this week in a drive against drug dealers, prostitutes and fugitives, South Florida police said.
Broward County authorities told the South Florida Sun Sentinel they also seized marijuana growing operations and confiscated 15 firearms, illegal prescription pills, cocaine and pounds of marijuana.
The operation involved the FBI, DEA, U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Marshal's Office, Florida Department of Corrections, Broward County Sheriff's Office and police from Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill, Hallandale Beach, Coral Springs, Miramar, Coconut Creek, Sunrise and Hollywood.
