BHUBANESWAR, India, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Indian security forces said they killed five insurgents, including four women, during a firefight Sunday.
The Press Trust of India reported the 6-hour battle between the security forces and Maoist fighters occurred in a forest in eastern India's Orissa state. The government forces sustained no casualties, PTI said.
United News of India reported the security forces also recovered a dozen.
The security forces also recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition, along with Maoist posters and pamphlets. UPI
