INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- A man who claimed he had a "bomb in his belly" was arrested at the Indianapolis International Airport, authorities said.
There was no bomb, but Jeff Rarey, 53, of Ozark, Mo., was charged with felony false reporting, The Indianapolis Star reported Tuesday.
Police said Rarey wasn't under the influence of alcohol or drugs but was apparently upset when he was chosen for additional screening at a security checkpoint.
When asked by a Transportation Safety Administration officer to go through extra screening, Rarey patted his stomach and said, "This is a bomb," officials said. UPI
